Defeating the kundalini spirit (the serpent spirit)

Unlike spiritual awakening, which may occur spontaneously and is often triggered by profound life events, Kundalini awakening requires specific practices to activate what is believed to be a dormant spiritual energy coiled at the base of the spine.

While spiritual awakening can manifest independently of Kundalini awakening, the Kundalini awakening on the other hand has the potential to trigger a spiritual awakening.

So let’s take a deep dive into what this Kundalini energy is all about and where it comes from.

To start, let’s explore the subconscious and conscious selves, which are key parts of this discussion.

The conscious self is what we’re aware of when we’re awake. It’s the part of us that thinks, makes decisions, and controls our actions.

Now, the subconscious self on the other hand operates quietly in the background, outside of our conscious awareness. It’s more active when our conscious self is asleep. Many essential bodily functions, like our heartbeat, blinking, and reflexive actions, are managed by the subconscious.

The subconscious subtly influences our waking decisions, thoughts, and emotions, often without us realizing it. However, it’s the conscious self that ultimately decides whether to act on these influences or not, as it tends to be more logical and analytical because it has a moral compass which we often derive from our upbringing and God through the spirit. But the subconscious on the other hand doesn’t pick sides between good and evil. It’s neutral, capable of both positive and negative influence. It’s up to the conscious self to guide and train the subconscious based on its own desires and morals,

Even when we have thoughts of doing something wrong, it’s often our fear of God and our moral upbringing that keeps us in check. This is where self-discipline comes into play – it’s about controlling our desires rather than letting them control us. However, this doesn’t mean we don’t struggle with certain habits or temptations.

But then, subconscious self is a storehouse of information and memories from our past experiences. These stored memories and information can significantly shape our perceptions and behaviors, even though we might not be consciously aware of their influence.

But here’s the thing: the devil can exploit the darker aspects of our subconscious to manipulate us. These influences might show up as vague intuitions or symbolic dreams, leaving us wondering where they come from. These influences stem from the serpent spirit, dwelling within the subconscious. Though dormant and limited, this “serpent spirit” can still subtly sway our thoughts, tempting us with suggestions. Sometimes we resist, sometimes we don’t – but ultimately, the choice lies with our conscious selves.

Now, let’s dive into the essence of our discussion: awakening the Kundalini spirit. Regardless of the technique used, requires quieting the conscious mind and bypassing it to unlock the depths of the subconscious.

When the subconscious mind is unlocked, its barriers are dissolved and everything stored within is revealed. This includes the serpent spirit, which represents the shadow self, childhood memories, suppressed emotions, and those aspects of ourselves we’ve consciously or unconsciously avoided confronting – our deepest wounds, fears, and unresolved issues.

When the Kundalini is awakened, you may encounter a range of sensations, from the experience of pure bliss to muscle spasms. It feels like your thoughts are louder and clearer, and there’s a heightened state of awareness. While these experiences could be different for everyone, I want to point out the key here.

As this serpent spirit rises from the base of the spine through the chakra points, the activation of these centers awakens corresponding aspects of the subconscious, integrating the shadow aspects of the psyche. It continues all the way to the crown. During this process, you need to surrender because the more you try to fight it, the more pain and discomfort it can cause. Surrendering means giving up the need for control because, at this point, the subconscious has been unlocked and is now guiding the journey, it’s either you give in to it’s control or you try to fight it but in this you can’t fight because it can cause you pain and discomfort so you need to surrender to this process. This phase is called the ego death.

The dynamic between the conscious and subconscious has been altered. You might begin to experience lucid dreams, where you’re able to control yourself in your dream state and  you might notice that you wake up feeling tired because your body wasn’t fully rested during sleep. You might also experience intermittent loss of consciousness. You become sensitive to everything—light, sound, and even absorb the emotions of others. Sometimes, you find it hard to regulate these emotions. These changes occur due to the ongoing alteration process.

Your subconscious mind controls many vital functions of your body, including your heartbeat, digestion, behavior, emotions, memories, and even your dreams. Giving this much control to the devil is concerning. Someone who controls your subconscious can influence your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, essentially exercising a form of mind control.

There’s a reason why God designed certain aspects of our existence, and it’s important not to tamper with these things in the name of spiritual exploration. Unfortunately, many practices that involve accessing or altering the subconscious are often approached with deception. While some experiences, like Kundalini awakening sessions, may be explicit about what to expect, others may present themselves as healing opportunities.

Now let’s reference back to the time of Adam and Even and how the devil tempted them to eat from the forbidden tree so he could reveal to them a part of them that has been hidden from them.

Once this is awakened. The way you perceive reality, your thoughts, and your actions can all be manipulated. When you don’t resist these influences, you might find yourself giving in to your desires, and if you resist, it can cause you pain. Your subconscious mind, once restrained, now has control over your body. As it continues to ascend, it gains even greater influence and control.

So how do you fight against yourself, alone? You can’t, because the flesh is weak. You need God; you need to call on your ally. Perhaps God has been sending you signs through your dreams. You might dream of being locked in a cage or trapped in a building with no way out. I discussed these signs in detail in my previous episode. Crying for no reason could also be a sign that your soul is yearning to be free; it feels suffocated.

I remember when I wanted to rid myself of this Kundalini energy, I searched online, and someone posted that you cannot get rid of it because you’ve sold your soul. I refused to accept that as my fate. It was terrifying; I felt like I had no guidance, and the responses from others weren’t helpful.

I should note that this energy cannot be removed through deliverance or exorcism because this is a battle of self. However, the prayers of others can alleviate some symptoms, yet the true work lies within yourself and this ongoing process needs to be reversed. This kundalini spirit disrupts your nervous system and can lead to autoimmune issues because even your body is fighting. The internal battle is excruciating, it causes headaches and sleeplessness. I wouldn’t wish this pain on anyone—it’s a fierce struggle to break free from its grip.

So how do you break free from this:

  1. Prayer: The believer’s most powerful weapon is prayer, and it takes the mercy of God to fix things. Through repentance and sincere supplication to God for assistance, His spirit intervenes to set things right, so call out to your ally wholeheartedly. The heart is the connection to God, but something else has taken its place, like your twin flame. You’ve made your desire your god all this time, and that’s why it’s important to protect your heart and be careful about what you let in. You need to make space for the light to come in, so open your heart to God and ask for His mercy. One lie the enemy tells us when we mess up is that God won’t forgive us. But God is incredibly merciful. However, you need to repent for your mistakes, ask for forgiveness, and clear out that space by getting rid of those desires that have kept you in darkness.
  1. Fasting: This is needed, and highly recommended. You need to fast because to beat the flesh, you have to starve the flesh and feed the spirit. I can’t stress this enough, so embark on an intensive fasting period. It helps in purifying the body and mind, while also strengthening your connection to God.
  1. Studying the word of God: This is crucial because it softens your heart and opens your heart to God it also strengthens your faith. Because the enemy will try to scare you especially when you’re trying to break free from this but understanding the word of God will keep you grounded and steadfast. When you know God’s words, it helps you avoid falling for the lies of the enemy.
  1. Surrender to the will of God: One thing I remember vividly when I was trying to break free from this was my mind couldn’t stop running, like the thoughts were uncontrollable it was painful like thoughts of my twin flame running through my mind nonstop and I remember holding my head screaming get out of my head. It didn’t stop, in that moment, I questioned how something could control my will when I had already surrendered to God’s will. His will is my will, so how could anything else have power over me? I cried at this realization because it showed me how much I needed God. Having experienced what it was like to feel distant from Him, I understood my priorities and what truly mattered to me. So I made the decision to surrender to His will completely. This surrender helped me gain control over my own mind and thoughts.
  1. Tame your desires: Sometimes, tempting thoughts will arise. Like lust, immorality, and addictions. Giving in to these temptations can set you back in your healing journey, much like failing a course means having to repeat it.

So, during this time, concentrate on taming those desires, because your mind will try to play tricks on you, even with mental images and in dreams. Stay away from triggers too, like being mindful of what you watch and listen to. You’re fighting your desires here, and trying to break free from this stronghold requires resisting temptations and staying focused on your path to healing and strengthening your relationship with God.

  1. Forgiveness: Anger and unforgiveness stem from your lower self. This experience can be very traumatizing, and you may find yourself angry with yourself and everyone around you. You might go through a phase of betrayal trauma, but it’s important to have empathy for yourself. You’ve already been through so much, and you’ve fought hard to overcome it. However, don’t let anger and unforgiveness hold you back from complete freedom, as the enemy seizes upon moments of anger or despair to intensify his influence on the mind. I remember feeling angry at everyone, feeling deeply betrayed and traumatized. I struggled to forgive myself and questioned how I let it all happen. Dealing with heartbreak and fighting both the internal and external battles. But holding onto that anger and unforgiveness only held me back. I had to learn to forgive myself and those who hurt me, not for their sake, but for God’s sake. It was a humbling process. Forgiveness isn’t easy, but it’s necessary. Let God give you closure; don’t leave the door open for the enemy to exploit. Close all the doors and leave it all to God.

Sometimes, this serpent spirit can be deceiving, and you might feel like its influence has diminished or even disappeared. At other times, you might receive intuitive guidance, mistakenly believing it’s from God when it’s not. In such moments, discernment and self-reflection are crucial. Ask yourself if you’re still giving in to your desires, and question whether the revelation or dream you just experienced is truly from God. Pray to God for discernment and guidance in every situation. Stay self-aware and check in with yourself regularly. Are you still operating from your ego? This self-examination will reveal areas that still need attention and growth.
